The Night of Boz will take place at K-NAL (1, avenue du Port), in Brussels, on December 2nd. This special event will showcase the website www.spiritofboz.org, which captures the essence of Boz, Julien Friedler’s artistic and mythic universe, as well a DVD about the “Innocents”, his installation devoted to martyred children.
The Night of the Boz itself will be split in 2 distinctive parts. It will begin at 8 PM with a cocktail-vernissage, organized in collaboration with Sotheby’s Belgium; the guests will discover projections, sound installations and performances. At 11 PM, the party will continue with a DJ-set featuring Matthew Herbert.
A writer, a psychoanalyst and a visual artist, Julien Friedler created the Boz as a “universe full of enchanters”, a singular experience of the divine, enhanced by a string of artworks. Interacting with each other, these works are also connected to a core book : “The Book of Boz”, an epic tale featuring 3 clowns : Jack Balance (artist’s double), Me and its Scribe.
